The designer has chosen to create an environment perfectly suited to a young couple with children: A bright and friendly space. In the common area, she delimited different sectors so that everyone is benefiting: A living room with a condo sofa - a little smaller than a sofa but larger than a loveseat – some armchairs and a reading corner slightly set back from the audio-video area. The kitchen, very modern and functional, opens to the dining area and has a nice lunch counter, three industrial-looking stools that combine aesthetics and functionality and give this area a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
“The common thread of my decor is wood” says Jennifer Bianka-Clermont. “I favoured Québec furniture with bright, natural colors. To create a lively and warm ambience, I opted for combinations of white and navy blue, and some colour accents. My decor has an eclectic style. The marriage of textures and styles gives a dynamic and fresh character to this house. It is a comfortable place to live!”
Each of the bedrooms has its own bathroom and a large walk-in, allowing to declutter these areas and to enjoy great storage space rather than unnecessarily burdening the rooms with large furniture. "It is important to always choose furniture that fits the dimensions of a room. This also applies to the selection of decorative accessories and this, in any room of the house. The rooms in this house are very bright, which led me to go for some ‘lightness’ in my choices to create a peaceful and inspiring place, a welcome retreat, " said the specialist.
In all the rooms, designer Jennifer Clermont-Bianka has worked to enhance the assets that this splendid house offers, choosing aesthetic and functional solutions to create an ambience that exudes joie de vivre.
Surrounded by greenery, this home with many qualities and designed for a young family, is nevertheless offered at an affordable price. "Priced at $349,900, taxes and single garage included, the house can be built with a third bedroom at no extra cost, making it eligible – in the case of three rooms – to the Home Ownership subsidy offered by Ville de Montréal for families with at least one child," says Maxime Laporte, Director of Real Estate Development for Groupe Quorum, which is building the project. "Hence, families with at least one child under 18 that already own (or that have been homeowners over the last five years), who purchase a new residential unit of three bedrooms over 1033 ft2 will receive from the Ville de Montréal $ 6,250 and a 100% reimbursement of the property transfer taxes," he adds.
